4.DEFINITION:

The Global Scientific Healthcare Alliance (GSHCA) is a non-political and non-profit gathering of organisations and individuals committed to the promotion of healthcare education through dialogue and networking. GSHCA members are from all regions of the globe.

 

5.GOAL:

GSHCA aims to facilitate the exchange of ideas and information related to continuing healthcare education programs and develop healthcare updates and developments.

 

6.OBJECTIVES:

6.1         To highlight scientific issues and make recommendations;

6.2         To promote and advance healthcare to the global healthcare community;

6.3         To foster continuing healthcare education to healthcare professionals through the support of the alliance;

6.4         To increase healthcare networks with a common interest in healthcare education;

6.5         To strengthen the cooperation amongst the healthcare associations, societies, organisations and the entire global healthcare industry;

 

7 .ORGANISATION AND DISSOLUTION.

This Alliance is a non-profit corporation under the laws of the United Arab Emirates.

The Alliance currently has no loans, funds or assets to be dissolved.

 

8. MEMBERSHIP

Membership of the GSHCA is currently derived from the following healthcare sectors;

  • Family Medicine
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Anesthesia and Pain Management
  • Otology
  • Emergency and Catastrophe

 

 

9. The membership structure of the Alliance consists of four categories:

  1. i) Official National: Associations/Societies, Ministry of Health or Department of Health
  2. ii) Associate Members: Organisations, International or Regional Associations Universities/Academies, Meetings, Publications.

iii)         Industry Members: Companies may apply for membership. Attendance at the GSHCA is required to be at Director and or Scientific Research & Development capacity.

  1. iv) Observer Status: Individuals on application will be considered for the meeting attendance on an annual basis.
  2. TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP

Membership remains active until such time as any termination is actioned in writing. Members are requested to provide statistical updates annually and advise the GSHCA Secretariat of attendance at the GSHCA meeting no later than 31st December. If members are unable to attend membership will remain. Members may withdraw membership at any time in writing. The GSHCA Executive has the right to terminate membership at its own discretion. Each organisation is allocated two seats in the GSHCA meeting as nominated by the member organisation. Application approval is provided by the GSHCA Headquarters.

 

10. MEMBER BENEFITS

Each Member Organisation is entitled to; Two seats with the right to speak during the annual meeting; Invitation to the networking lunch; Official recognition during the annual meeting; Official recognition in related collateral

 

11. FEES

There are no fees required for Membership or for attending the annual meeting. All activities are hosted by the GSCHA Alliance.

 

12. GOVERNANCE

The Governing body of this Alliance shall be the GSHCA Executive Board. Once appointed the term for Executive Board members that run for 2 (Two) calendar years (1st Jan – 31st Dec) After the board members term is completed, another 2 years may be offered by appointment or the role of honorary “GSCHA Ambassador”

 

13. OFFICERS

The officers of this Alliance shall be the Executive Chairman, Executive Board Members and General Secretary

 

14. MEETINGS

The meetings of this Alliance shall be one annual meeting of the General Assembly. There may be one or more additional meetings of the officers and or members, if required.

 

15. RECORDS

The official minutes of the annual meeting are distributed to all members.

 

16. AFFILIATIONS

On the recommendation of the GSHCA Executive Board the Alliance may join in confederation with other organisations of similar goals and membership.

 

17. PRINCIPLES OF ETHICS

The principles of ethics of this Alliance shall be the Principles of Ethics and Code of

Professional Conduct of the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or other comparable professional

associations in which a member of the Alliance may have membership, and shall govern the

professional conduct of the members of the Alliance.

 

18. AWARDS

The members of the GSHCA are invited to submit nominations for the “GSHCA Personality of the Year Award”. The annual award is for Outstanding Contributions to the Healthcare Profession and the recipient is selected by the GSHCA Executive Board.

 

19. AMENDMENTS

This Constitution may be amended at any meeting of the General Assembly on a 75% Majority vote of the members present and voting, provided that the proposed amendment had been submitted in writing to all active members at least thirty (30) days prior to the date on which the vote is taken.

This Constitution also may be amended at any meeting of the General Assembly on the

unanimous Majority vote of the members present and voting, provided that the proposed

amendment has been presented in writing at a previous session of said meeting.

 

20. GSHCA VISION STATEMENT

To facilitate and ensure the continuous development of healthcare for all, through dialogue and alliances.

 

21. GSHCA MISSION STATEMENT

To promote and develop continuing education by providing the regions premier gathering for member healthcare professionals to meet and support the advancement of the profession.
